Dr. Sable has completed 2 years of training in Liver transplantation (predominantly LDLT) and later continued as a Consultant for another 3 years in Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital, Mumbai. During this period of 5 years, Dr. Sable has been involved in more than 250 liver transplants either as a primary surgeon or as a second surgeon.
Dr. Sable is keenly interested in Hepato-Biliary & Pancreatic malignancies and performs complex major liver resections (including Trisegmentectomies, posterior sectorectomies, etc), Whipples' procedure (& distal pancreatic resections) & complex bile duct injury repair surgeries.
Dr. Sable was also a part of the Sahyadri organ transplant team since August 2018 (involved in over 150 liver transplants) till July 2020.
He has been an active part of the combined Kidney-Pancreas transplant programme (15 paediatric liver transplants including reduced grafts, mono-segments grafts, and left lateral lobes).
He has also been a part of the oldest liver transplant program in Maharashtra at Jaslok Hospital & Research Centre (26 liver transplants).
Dr. Sable has a very keen interest in research and has many scientific publications in indexed and peer-reviewed international and national journals.
He has also published chapters in various books and includes research on Living donors, Liver regeneration, Hepatocellular cancer and Paediatric liver diseases.
